Mbale CAP partnered with ECOTRUST in the month of July, 2016 to conduct a feasibility assessment to find out if the current beneficiaries of their ten million tree planting project (funded by the Welsh government) implemented by Mbale CAP in the districts of Mbale, Manafwa, Bududa, Bulambuli and Sironko can be incorporated into ECOTRUST's Trees for Global Benefit program.

The USAID/Uganda HIV/AIDS and health Initiatives in the Workplaces Activity (HIWA) is a 5 year program funded by USAID. The program is a national program implemented in 33 districts by World Vision Inc in partnership with RTI International (RTI), Uganda Health Marketing Group (UHMG), The AIDS Support Organization (TASO), The Environmental Conservation Trust of Uganda (ECOTRUST) and The Medical Concierge Group (TMCG). ECOTRUST launches Solvatten in Lira District

ECOTRUST was in Lira district on the 26th and 27th of May 2016 to launch the Solvatten Solar Safe Jerry cans in a district that has in the recent past suffered rampant outbreaks of waterborne diseases most especially typhoid and dysentery. Using the three processes of Ultra violet treatment, filtration and heating, solvatten jerry cans kill micro-organisms in water making it safe for consumption.
