Trees Planted

1800

Anne Natukunda, from Bitereko Subcounty in Mitooma District, joined the Trees for Global Benefits (TGB) project in 2003 and planted 1,800 trees. Today, she serves as the Local Council Chairperson in her community.

Her decision to plant trees was inspired by past droughts and a desire to protect the environment. Thanks to training from ECOTRUST, Anne and her community became more aware of the importance of environmental conservation.

Anne believes that supporting small green businesses like animal husbandry can go hand-in-hand with tree planting. She encourages more investment in such projects to boost both environmental and community resilience.

Looking ahead, she hopes her work through TGB will inspire future generations to care for the environment and build prosperous communities.

As TGB celebrates 20 years, Anne congratulates ECOTRUST and urges other farmers to join the project, emphasizing that working together is the way to a better future.
