The Green Campaign, overseen by the Franciscan Development Committee, aims to promote sustainable practices and shared nature. The committee, consisting of lay Christians and Franciscan Capuchin Order priests, plans to utilize the congregation’s secure land for various tree-growing initiatives. This includes economic tree species, forestry and medicinal trees, fruit trees, and sustainable farming practices. With over 160 acres available in Busunju and additional land across Uganda, the project seeks support to become a center of excellence, inspiring others to follow the Franciscan approach to environmental stewardship.
